Needle Felting is my favorite way of expressing my love of animals. Being realistic in my work is most important.
Living on a farm when I was a small child with my Grandparents, I became obsessed with the animals as they were my playmates when my older brother went to school. I began drawing when I was in grade school.
Choosing Needle Felting as my medium gives me the opportunity to create beautiful one-of-a-kind portraits for the pet owner.
In Needle Felting, I use 100% wool fiber from the Merino Sheep all from the U.S. I use barbed needles to stab the wool fiber into place creating the look of fur.
Linen, wool, and cotton are used as the background.
